80% of the world’s evangelical Christians live in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Over the last 50 years, God’s church has grown exponentially in these areas.

These regions have tremendous mission sending potential to help bring the gospel to unreached peoples, but they currently send only 20% of the world’s cross-cultural missionaries!

<li>Establishing strong networks and partnerships with local churches and Christian organizations and come up with the first spiritual map of Jordan (unreached pockets, spiritual needs, where and how many churches, missionaries in each people group, identifying the different People profile, ministry opportunities). This data base will be in the hand of every church, Christian organizations, and Christian leader to help them move and allocate their resources in a strategic and efficient way. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Develop prayer movement among churches, students in Jordan, and beyond toward God&rsquo;s unreached world. Each church adopts and focus on at least one unreached group.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Train churches, and disciple students and families in taking intentional steps in engaging more with the five mission habits (Pray, Go, Send, Welcome, and Mobilize).&nbsp;</li>
<li>Help building the foundation for developing new generation of healthy &amp; godly Arab families where mission is part of their focus (prayer, finance, involvement)</li>
</ul>

Why this Matters

Jordan is considered a part of the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa) that includes the entirety of the Arab world and all its 22 countries. This region is located in the 10/40 window totalling a population of 450+ million people, most of which are Muslim.
Jordan itself is very strategically positioned in the middle of the Arab world. Its population of 11.5 million consists of 98% Muslim believers and of the 20 people groups, 13 are considered unreached. Jordan has also received approximately 750 thousand refugees, making it the second largest refugee population in the world.

Project Details

Our strategic approach involves utilizing several key resources, including tried and true studies that provide the very basis for God&rsquo;s heart for the nations (<a href="https://www.vianations.org/resources/explore-the-world-christian-lifestyle">Explore</a>). Our team specifically intends to utilize certain other marriage and family resources because the Arab world is affected greatly by the culture, ethics, and values of the surrounding Islamic beliefs rather than Biblical foundations and teaching. Currently, the Arab church fails to provide enough life-changing teaching about raising healthy and Godly families who are truly struggling to do so. Some of these resources the team intends to utilize include <a href="https://shop.familylife.com/product/the-art-of-marriage-small-group-couples-set/">Art of Marriage</a> &amp;<a href="https://shop.familylife.com/product/familylifes-art-of-parenting-small-group-series-workbook/?gad_source=1&amp;gclid=CjwKCAjw-O6zBhASEiwAOHeGxY1jaTq91eiAwmXTFfJVPkcInifHpuO0ZIhs_rySpfx4HMKOKJBgZhoCv4sQAvD_BwE"> Art of Parenting</a>, <a href="https://www.vianations.org/families/resources/big-story-series">One Big Story Series</a>, and <a href="https://www.vianations.org/families/resources/parenting-with-a-global-vision">Parenting With A Global Vision</a>.&nbsp;
In addition to mobilization resources geared to families, we are partnering together to offer the <a href="https://generousgiving.org/events/jog/">Journey of Generosity</a> workshop to help teach the Arabic church the biblical foundation of giving generously to God&rsquo;s work, inspiring them with creative and simple means to do so. This helps set a needed platform to extend the generous giving to God&rsquo;s missions in Jordan and nearby.

We have a multi-year implementation plan, involving these resources and our other goals.

Call for the collaboration of key interested pastors, leaders, and mission-based organizations to collect necessary data to form a Jordan spiritual map

Cast vision through our Via leadership to introduce our ministry vision, mission, and resources to Jordanian leaders

Launch and provide discipleship groups in collaboration with local churches and schools, in addition to Journey of Generosity workshops&nbsp;

Encourage pastors to begin praying for the nations and their role in reaching them

Throughout each year and step, the team plans to evaluate the project impact and develop sustainability plans for ongoing mobilization. This includes bringing in more partners to fund the work, recruiting full-time supported staff to join the team, and collaborating with like-minded organizations and churches.

Despite Jordan&rsquo;s obvious challenges, like war and religious tensions, the region presents an incredible opportunity for sharing the message of Jesus and growing the body of Christ by sending indigenous missionaries from within. Over the next several years the Jordan Area Team aims to increase Biblical and missional awareness throughout the church so that it can take serious action in the community, which will allow the unreached pockets within Jordan, the Middle East, and North Africa to be met with the gospel by disciples.
